“My handmade items are not mass- produced so each piece is unique, created by me in my studio in Melbourne, Australia and Paris, France where I visit quite regularly. Many of my items are created using natural, found objects, salvaged material, and vintage findings.

I also offer an unusual array of interesting craft supplies, vintage recycled/up cycled home decor, clothing and more.

Outlook8studioI built in 1999 and my messy craft studio in my house in Melbourne,Australia

My little studio in Paris France and the view from my window.

A little about me…..I began creating from an early age, collecting things like a bowerbird. Old Christmas cards with sparkles odd bits of coloured ribbon even laminae and wood samples from my brother, a carpenter. I would cut, draw, and paste, to make collages and wall hangings for my mum.

When I grew up and had a family I continued to create a world for myself in my home by opening a little craft supply shop and revamping old furniture. I used the found object to build sculptures, and painted everything.Between domestic duties and raising my 3 wonderful children as a single parent for 20 years, I hit the college scene pretty late in life at the age of 36. Art school allowed me to develop my skills, techniques and visual language. I set up the bottom half of my house as workspace.

I had found a new world where I could express for the first time in my life what ever I wanted too. Over time I began to gain exposure, by entering as many exhibitions and competitions that came my way. I endeavoured to learn as much as possible about the business side of being an artist, which is just as important, as creating.

Recently, I was even awarded a grant from the Australian Government for exporting my art overseas. Today, I work as a professional artist from my studio I built in the lovely Yarra Valley in Victoria Australia. I also live in Paris on and off so, France has now become my second home. My 3 children have grown up and left home and all have pursued creative careers in their own life and now have the time to push ideas and create works that I hope are as individual as fingerprints.
