5 metal icing or cream decorating nozzles
1 vegtable peeler with bean stringer on opposite end
1 large bone handled ,stainless steel carving fork
1 stainless steel tea strainer
1 Potato masher with bright blue wooden handle

The drawstring bag is hand-made,decorated with vintage fabrics that have been home dyed. There is a pocket on the outside to tuck in the little vintage icing nozzles.Once everything is tucked inside it can be tied off with some 1950/s underwear ribbon (new from old stock)

The word Kitchenalia has been hand written across the top of the pocket

Boxes of French Lace & Fabric

BEAUTIFUL FRENCH LACE + DECORATIVE FABRIC PIECES

When I was last in Paris, I found a couple of boxes of lace and fabrics full of vintage and newer pieces. Being such a hoarder, I couldn’t resist and sent it all back home to Australia. I now realize I won’t be able to use all of it, so gradually I will be listing small amounts in my shop.

Atelier in Paris

Pieces of delicate French lace and fabrics at different lengths. Perfect for sewing, craft, wedding, altered art journals, altered dolls, scrap booking, handmade cards, collage and art projects type fabric in pastel pinks and greens.

I don’t know yet what I’ll create with the lace and fabric, as it’s just too beautiful to use .

Any ideas?

My house and studio is stuffed with junk for my creative projects….

I have been collecting since I was born. I used to hide stuff under my bed in boxes as a child .As an adult I’m still putting stuff into boxes, plastic bags and other strange things. I view my collections as arrangements. They are all art installations scattered around my place as well as material for use in my art and craft projects.

Walking through the streets to the local shop I always come home with something foot- trodden. A piece of paper, packaging, a bright piece of plastic, glass, all will be used in my creations eventually. When I travel overseas (much to the sometimes embarrassment to friends and family) I often pick up off the ground, bottle tops, lolly papers, wires bright bits of plastic, even if an item disturbs me I’ll bring it home. On a tour once in Europe the whole busload of passengers collected bottle tops for me.

My stuff may brood for years in a dark space or cupboard till I come across it again sending me off on another project. On my last trip to Paris I came home with 40 kilo of junk. I collected baguette bags, packaging, bits of string, wire, tags, advertising, stones, free ad cards, labels from food items, torn posters, a book and papers from a bin.

I collect found photographs and make up my own stories about the images. I collect found images, negatives, scientific stuff, equations, wire, tin, bones, animal skeletons, fur, hair, watches, old mobile covers, eye glasses, shrivelled things, found numbers and fonts from keyboards, magazines and advertising, boxes, packaging, all sorts paper, vintage clothes, fabrics, wall papers, shells, driftwood, snowglobes, toys, childrens books, games and so much more.

What do you like to collect?
